The Range has been through a lot of ups and downs. In what form it will continue is anyone's guess. The resiliency of the great white pine may be the answer.

They took the opportunity to make a better life,
and went where they were needed most, come toil, struggle and strife
They were willing to change their destinies and take what they
could find,
and sailed across the ocean blue, to work down in the mines

Born before Mesabi began to shake,

They jumped into the melting pot, and became Americans,
